Accepting a GDAP relationship with RUX (BC Toolbox Customers)

Modified on Fri, 26 Jun at 12:23 PM

Applies to: Customers with a BC Toolbox implementation / deployment package

Overview

To deploy your BC Toolbox solution, RUX needs access to your Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. We request this through a Granular Delegated Admin Privileges (GDAP) relationship — a standard, scoped Microsoft access model.

Who accepts it: A Global Administrator in your Microsoft 365 tenant.

How to accept

  1. RUX sends you a unique GDAP invitation link, generated specifically for your organization. It's time-limited, so please use it within 90 days of receiving it.
  2. Have your Global Administrator open the link and sign in.
  3. Review the requested roles, then accept the relationship.

What happens next

Once access is confirmed, we'll assign a consultant to work on the deployment with you — starting with environment confirmation, installation, and license keys.

Tip: If you're not sure who your Global Administrator is, your internal IT team or Microsoft partner can identify them.

Troubleshooting

The link shows "Open Door Technology" instead of RUX - is that right?

Yes, that's expected. GDAP relationships for US-based customers are currently routed through our Open Door Technology Ltd account, which will be renamed to RUX Software once we've completed the process with Microsoft. If you'd ever like to confirm a link is genuinely from us, just ask.

The link has expired, or I can't open it.

Invitation links are time-limited - they expire after 90 days. Reply to your RUX contact and we'll generate a fresh link, we can also set how long it stays active to suit your timing.

It says I don't have permission to approve it.

Only a Global Administrator can accept the relationship. Forward the link to whoever manages your Microsoft 365 tenant, or ask your IT team or Microsoft partner who that is.

I'm getting an error when I try to accept.

Occasionally the issue is on Microsoft's side. Let us know what you're seeing and we'll generate a new link or, if needed, open a support case with Microsoft to get it resolved.
