Where to find your Activation Tenant ID and enter your Activation Key

Overview

To activate your BC Toolbox licensing, RUX needs your Activation Tenant ID for each environment you want licensed — your production environment and any sandboxes.

Important: The Activation Tenant ID is not the same as your Microsoft tenant ID. It's a separate value generated by the app.

Where to find it

  1. Install the BC Toolbox app in your Business Central environment (if you haven't already).
  2. Open the app's Setup page in Business Central.
  3. The Activation Tenant ID is shown on that Setup page.

What happens next — getting your activation key

  1. Reply to your activation ticket (or email) with the Activation Tenant ID for each environment you want licensed.
  2. We generate your Activation Key and send it back to you.
  3. Enter the Activation Key on that same Setup page in Business Central to activate your licensing.

Production vs. sandbox environments

Each environment is activated with its own key. Send us the Activation Tenant ID for every environment you want licensed - your production environment and any sandboxes - and we'll return a separate Activation Key for each. If you spin up a new sandbox or environment later, just send us its Activation Tenant ID and we'll issue a key for it.
