How to accept a CSP reseller relationship with RUX Software

Modified on Thu, 25 Jun at 4:35 PM

Overview

When RUX purchases and manages your Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) licensing on your behalf, Microsoft requires you to authorize the relationship from inside your own Microsoft 365 tenant. This is done by accepting a CSP reseller relationship invitation, which connects your tenant to RUX and our authorized partner account.

Accepting this invitation lets RUX provision, manage, and support your Microsoft licenses. It does not give RUX access to your data, email, files, or user accounts — it simply establishes the licensing and billing relationship.

Before you begin

You must be a Global Administrator in your Microsoft 365 tenant. Only a Global Admin can accept a reseller relationship. If you're unsure who holds this role, your IT team or whoever manages your Microsoft 365 environment can confirm.

  • You'll need to be signed in to the Microsoft 365 admin center with that Global Admin account.
  • The process takes about 2 minutes.

Step 1: Choose the correct partner link for your region

RUX works through regional partner accounts so that your licensing is billed in the right currency and aligned to your location. Please select the single link below that matches your country and currency. If you're unsure which applies to you, contact your RUX representative before proceeding.

Step 2: Sign in as a Global Administrator

When you click your regional link, you'll be taken to the Microsoft 365 admin center. If you're not already signed in, log in with your Global Administrator account.

Tip: If you're signed in with a non-admin account, sign out and sign back in with your Global Admin credentials, then click the link again.

Step 3: Review and accept the relationship

  1. The admin center will display the reseller relationship invitation from the Open Door Technology partner account.
  2. Review the details, which describe the partner's role as your reseller (and, where applicable, delegated administration for license management).
  3. Check the box to authorize the relationship.
  4. Click Accept (or Authorize) to confirm.

That's it — the relationship is now active.

What happens next

  • RUX will be able to purchase and manage your Microsoft CSP licenses going forward.
  • You'll continue to use Microsoft 365 exactly as before — there's no change to your users, data, or sign-in experience.
  • Your RUX representative will confirm once everything is set up and proceed with your licensing.

Frequently asked questions

Does this give RUX access to my files or email?

I'm not a Global Admin — can I still accept it?

No. Only a Global Administrator can accept the invitation. Please forward this article to whoever manages your Microsoft 365 tenant.
