CRM What’s new or changed in version 27.0.0.22

Here’s an overview of what’s new or changed in the latest version of RUX Toolbox CRM, including solution revisions. 

 

If you self-manage updates, you should run the app update from your Business Central Admin Center. If you’re on the Update Protection Plan, this update will be applied for you.

New features & enhancements

New features and enhancements included in this release are: 

  • Sales documents can be emailed to the sell-to email address on Sales Orders when sending Order Confirmations or Sales Quotes.
  • A task name can be entered on Phone Calls when creating a follow-up task, and the phone call notes will carry over to the notes of the task created.
  • A “Do Not Solicit” flag has been added to Contact pages, preventing emails from being sent to that Contact from the contact card or through campaigns. 
  • A "Block" flag has been added to all Contact pages, allowing notes and actions to remain viewable while preventing the Contact from being assigned to new Sales Orders, Estimates, Invoices, and other transactions.
  • A new standalone "Sales Opportunity" entity has been added to CRM, linkable to Lead, Opportunity, or Customer Contacts, with full support for core fields (Title, Assigned User, Sales Stage, Estimated Value, Probability, Close Date, Status), related quotes, activities, and attachments, list and card views, contact card integration, visual pipeline tracking, owner assignment, and bulk editing.
  • The CRM Timeline "Footer Text" field length has been increased to allow for longer entries

  

Solution revisions

Solution revisions included in this release are: 

  • Manager Dashboard in CRM is accessible without errors, and the My Team Salesperson Filter in the User Setup table within Advanced CRM Setup is functioning correctly.
  • Contact links in Marketing Campaigns open the correct contact card when clicked, ensuring consistent behavior from the Contact Name column. 
  • Emails sent from the sales order page in ERP CRM are successfully delivered to customers and are now correctly logged in the interaction logs. 
  • Email addresses in CRM are now recognized regardless of capitalization, allowing consistent matching in the Email Buffer. 
  • Estimate and Quote reports display the correct currency symbol based on the Currency Code on the Estimate card.
  • VAT % on Estimate lines are now calculated and displayed automatically when line items are added, without requiring the Tax Area Code to be updated. 
  • Cancelling a note no longer saves a blank entry in the timeline across all contact card types.
  • The 'Go to Linked Page' on a task created from a sales quote now correctly opens the quote the task was created from. 
  • Creating a task from the quote list now generates a CRM task instead of a base BC task. 
  • Job Queue Expire Actions in CRM now correctly execute the corresponding actions: Auto Email, Email Task, and Phone Task. 
  • Estimate email templates now correctly populate the Amount and Summary wildcards, and selecting the Completed Tasks tile on a customer contact displays the correct information without errors. 
  • ERC Primary Contact correctly displays the Primary Contact checkbox as checked when viewed from the Contact list. 
  • Adding a new person contact now works correctly when a customer has no existing person contacts, and the contact is created without errors. 
  • The Expired Quote Factbox now displays the correct count, and the tile on customer contacts shows accurate numbers consistent with the drill down details
